Southern Lifestyle Development (SLD) has created a new Chief Performance Officer role within its organization and named Katherine Roy to fulfill the position.
“SLD has grown significantly in the last few years, and we recognized that we needed someone dedicated to the maintenance of the overall strategic process, analyzing progress data and recommending changes to not only keep us on track, but ensure we stay ahead,” said Kevin Blanchard, Chief Operating Officer for SLD. “We’re confident that Katherine will provide a more holistic approach to our development strategy by holding our team accountable for value creation and monitoring performance measures.”
SLD has nine Traditional Neighborhood Developments (TNDs) in various stages of growth, with the most notable being the award-winning Village of River Ranch in Lafayette, La. They have also developed more than 20 conventional neighborhoods, with 30 more also in progress.
“Katherine has done a wonderful job in leading our team to streamline and improve our operating procedures, and we’re confident that she’ll make even more improvements in this new role,” said Robert Daigle, Managing Partner and Co-founder of SLD. He continued, “With numerous projects happening across multiple markets and states, we’re committed to adapting our techniques and efficiencies.”
Roy joined the SLD team in December 2016 as Deputy Chief Operating Officer with more than 10 years of experience in the lending, financial, manufacturing, oil and gas industries. She previously worked for Workstrings International, Timco Services, Artificial Lift Systems, Iberia Bank, Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA) and Ginger Mae Financial Services (GMFS).
She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University.
